ABOUT ANNIE TOHILL
Annie Tohill tells stories through animation and illustration. She works primarily in pen and ink, and prefers coloring using ink wash, watercolor, or digital paint. Her favorite form of animation is traditional frame-by-frame animation that she creates digitally in TvPaint.
Annie's work always puts the story of the piece first, whether she's creating sticker designs to motivate your clients or fantastical tales of worlds at the edges of imagination. In 2018 she published a zine of film noir inspired pieces titled "Noirtober", which is available on Gumroad. She's currently focusing on traditional character animation and environment design. The work of 1950s Disney concept and environment artists, such as Eyvind Earle and Mary Blair, as well as her passion for painting, drive her to create environments that beautifully reflect the story they inhabit.
When she's not creating art, Annie enjoys cosplay and other crafts. If she's not crafting, then she's definitely playing games; her current favorites are Dungeons and Dragons and Stardew Valley.
